ShopSassify – Shoe Sections is a Shopify app that allows merchants to create and manage custom shoe-section displays and product layouts within their Shopify storefronts. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and transparently.

1.1 Merchant Information
When you install the App from the Shopify App Store, we may collect:
- Shopify store URL and store name
- Shopify-assigned Merchant ID
- Contact email address associated with your Shopify account
- Billing and subscription information (processed by Shopify)
- App configuration settings and preferences you set within the App
1.2 Store & Product Data
To deliver our shoe-section features, we access data from your Shopify store via the Shopify API, which may include:
- Product listings, titles, descriptions, images, and pricing

1.3 End-Customer Data (Storefront Visitors)
The App may interact with your customers' browsing sessions on your storefront. We may collect limited, non-personally-identifiable data such as:

3.1 Service Providers

3.4 Business Transfers

Shopify Integration & OAuth
ShopSassify – Shoe Sections accesses your Shopify store using Shopify's official OAuth 2.0 authentication protocol. During installation, you will be asked to grant specific permissions (scopes). We only request the minimum permissions necessary to deliver the App's functionality.
- read_products — To display your shoe products in sections
- read_themes / write_themes — To inject and manage shoe-section blocks within your storefront theme
- read_script_tags / write_script_tags — To load section scripts on your storefront (if applicable)
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as the App is installed on your Shopify store and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
- Active installation: All configuration and usage data is retained to provide the service.
- After uninstallation: We will delete or anonymize your store's data within 30 days of App uninstallation, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
- Backup data: Encrypted backup copies may persist for up to 90 days before being permanently purged.
- Log data: Technical logs are retained for up to 12 months for security and debugging purposes.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies
The App may use cookies and similar technologies in the following contexts:
- Session cookies: Used within the App's admin interface to maintain your authenticated session.

Storefront-side scripts embedded by the App (to render shoe sections) do not set tracking cookies on your customers' browsers beyond what is strictly necessary for section display and do not track customers across websites.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal or store data we hold about you.
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure: Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention obligations).
- Restriction: Request that we limit how we process your data.

- Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Children's Privacy
ShopSassify – Shoe Sections is a business-to-business application intended solely for use by Shopify merchants. It is not directed at or intended for use by individuals under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information.
Third-Party Links & Services
The App may contain links to external websites or services not operated by us. We have no control over the content or privacy practices of those sites and are not responsible for them. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party service you access.
Our App integrates with the following third-party services to operate:
- Shopify — Core platform integration (Shopify Privacy Policy)
- Cloud Hosting Provider — Secure App infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Vercel, or similar)

International Data Transfers
